The story
Four months embedded in Kansas City, Kansas, on the Missouri state line. As DV Director I filmed the custody process for the first season, from booking to the cell, as it happened.
The challenge
No shift was predictable, and every night could turn in seconds. The job was telling these stories honestly and fairly, earning trust from officers and detainees alike, and never missing the moment.
