The story
Two back-to-back series, January to July 2026, plus the Christmas Special. As Producer Director I followed every contestant's journey from first cook to final plate, shooting their interviews and actuality in the kitchen and travelling with them on every away trip.
The challenge
Seven months, two formats, no let-up. The job was earning contestants' trust quickly, so the nerves and the triumphs on screen felt real, while keeping pace with a fast kitchen and away days on the road. Every interview and every moment of actuality had to cut seamlessly into one of BBC One's biggest shows.
Fifteen famous faces took on the MasterChef kitchen across three heats, in the first series judged by Grace Dent and Giorgio Locatelli. I shot contestant interviews, kitchen actuality and away days.
The MasterChef kitchen gets the Christmas treatment, with familiar faces cooking festive menus under the judges' eyes.
Working chefs, from commis to head chef, put their careers on the line. I shot chef interviews, kitchen actuality and away days.
